What is Bytefall Protocol?
Bytefall Protocol is a free browser arena shooter with a paid full version. You are dropped into a room with five bots that never stop aiming, and the recovered mission is simple: defeat all five. Movement is survival, because standing still lets the bots settle their aim. The Buster is your main weapon, and charging it before you peek into an open lane is the difference between a clean kill and a trade. Dash through danger, build cover under pressure, and clear the room. Bytefall Protocol is catalogued as TLG-08 on The Lost Games shelf and supports keyboard, mouse, touch, and controllers.
The browser demo is the full first mission. Beyond it, Bytefall Protocol is the one cassette on the shelf marked FULL: a complete version with both Windows and macOS builds is sold through the arcade's restoration terminal, and every purchase includes both platforms.
Bytefall Protocol is also the arcade's first multiplayer game. A non-ranked lobby lets you create private matches or drop into a global arena for deathmatch, with remote players sharing pickups, splash damage, and projectiles with the bots. The web build scans every connected gamepad and uses whichever one is producing input, with Xbox, PlayStation, and generic mappings layered over the keyboard, mouse, and touch controls.
On mobile the game asks you to rotate to landscape and provides touch aiming and firing. The cassette carries both a controller-support icon and a multiplayer badge on the shelf, the only game in the arcade with both.
